It's a fact of life: accidents happen. It's a fact of design that I tend to leap before I look. Or, more specifically, it's rare that I have the patience to test a print on a piece of scrap paper before committing to the good stuff. Such was the case with this silouhette, a hand carved stamp that didn't turn out quite as I had intended. Ever the optimist, I gave it a shot anyway (on good paper of course... again, optimistic.) and it turned out... not quite as I had intended. Shocking. Rather than let it go to waste, I doodled on it. And doodles make good mail, people. So I sent it to the Beau in California. If the second picture is any indication, I think it was a hit.
